slacker.

our spare bedroom the day we moved in
we didnt bother do a phenomenal job packing
because we just moved across town
and we havent had time to unpack and organize
so this is the result
i did clean it up a little though haha

let me tell you how much of  a slacker i am.
or maybe my life is just really busy and crazy
between school and work and new house and family visiting

but life has been very good
we moved into a new house
and i love it
it is so much bigger
and so nice
and its funny how such a small thing can change so much

so i still need to unpack
i did so some organizing because my mom came to visit this weekend
it was a lot of fun
her selby and barry came to visit
and we had a great time
tucanos, temple square, divine comedy, IKEA!
i am just glad that i at least have someone
who likes to come visit us

on friday i went to an english teaching conference
it was so great
i loved it
and i cant wait until i have my own classroom
i figured out my school schedule
and i wont officially graduate until a year later than what i planned
but i will at least have a minor
and be able to do an internship
so itll all be good.

yay for life
and yay for life being good

there is so much i need to
but dont remotely have the energy to do it
which makes me also lack motivation
the first being work on my geology class
the second being write on this blog
oh and clean house/do dishes

today was my last day at independence high
kinda sad
i will mainly miss the girls from 3rd hour
they are a group home
so they have all had a rough past
but i am going to try to go volunteer with them
i really do enjoy hanging out with the girls
but they also need some to be a friend
so i am excited to help them
and for some reason
i guess i am just drawn to hooligans

but in similar news
i am going to try to finish school a semester early
so that i can do an internship
instead if student teaching
i just feel that it would give me
the best experience and a better
jump start into the job world
and hopefully getting a job placement
when i graduate

i would really like to see myself
teaching at a school
for problem girls like the group homes
for some reason i just have a special
connection with them
and enjoy helping them
but we will see

i start at a middle school next week
so i guess i may decide that
i love pubescent children
and that i want to teach middle school

sometimes i fee weird
that i have such a passion for teaching
and then these post
like i wonder if people read this
and think that i am weird

oh well
all in a days work

bobby and i want to get a cat
or dog
hopefully we can work it out
or find a new place
which would mean i still need to take pictures of this place
but maybe a new place would initiate
a cleaner lifestyle and more
organized home
because of less mayhem
when we are moving in
aka not getting married

also another thing i have noticed about
being so busy is
i am so tired
and hungry
all the time
i take vitamin
and eat enough
maybe i need to eat less
so i will lose weigh
really just need to work out
but thats when my lacking motivation
comes into play again

its a vicious cycle
the life of a college student

i officially became a piña a while ago 

but i was sad to find out 

that most places dont support the "ñ"

social security, drivers licence, school records 

they just do the base letter and no tilde

and it is sad to me 

because i like finally having something interesting 

and the tilde is the best part 

and makes piña interesting and unique!

and a lot of people dont know

how to pronounce 'piña'

case and point: my mom

and she always corrects everyone else

and calls us 'pena'

frustrating.

it is also funny because 

for some reason ever since

i changed my name i have had an influx 

of people asking me if i am latino

just with the change of my last name

and i guess i could kinda fake it?

im not that dark

my spanish teacher asked

if i was latino even

and the other day the guy

from the multicultural office

at byu came into my office

and saw my name tag with 'piña'

he then went on asking me if

i was latino

and even after i said no 

he asked my if i was sure 

like 'are you sure youre not latino?"

haha yes. i am rather sure

but the funniest thing is 

bobby is not latino looking at all 

so it comes across very strange

and people dont typically believe me

or under stand

but i am trying to learn spanish 

so maybe i will look more latino if i become fluent 

and then i can play the part

and tonight i met two new spanish partners 

to practice with and get better at spanish

i am so excited

they are both from mexico 

and they just seem like such cool kids

i really love the hispanic culture 

and i am excited to get to know Betzi and Carlos

and help them better their english

(they both already speak really good english

so they just need pointers)

when i got home from the meet and greet

i coudlnt talk in english to my mom

i kept wanting to say everything in spanish

so thats good right?

and my spanish class has got my in the 

weird bad habit of calling all

my teachers 'profe'

so i am slowly learning!

just very very slowly

well tomorrow i teach 

my first for real english lesson

i hope it will be good

i am more nervous for my lesson friday 

but i am sure itll all go over well

i am really so excited to have 

my own classroom

and be a teacher

it is just something i have a true passion about 

I think bobby and i have been

the other night i had a dream 

that i worked for gus 

i dont remember if i was making meth

but i do know that he made me some offer

working nights for $65 an hour

and i turned it down so that 

i would have the energy

to do my mini student teaching 

that i am doing right now 

haha strange huh

on the zune topic from the other day 

i broke my screen on my zune

my zune i have had since my hs sophomore year

i am so sad

it is just falling apart 

and now i have no idea what i am going to do

because i will not conform to apple 

you can see bobby's impact on me haha

speaking of bobby

he is so sweet

he got me this ^ orchid one day

that i was feeling sad

and!

tonight he took me out for tacos 

and ice cream!

and he asked to buy me crackle nail polish

isnt he the best

work had been so crazy

monday was the add drop deadline

and now we can schedule for the rest of the semester

so i seriously have had no free time 

and yesterday i left with 

5 emails still in the inbox

but one of my biggest pet peeve

which i dont understand...

it will be really busy 

and we will all be on the phone

so obviously we cant answer

other incoming calls

but people will call our office

and get the voivemail

cal back 5 more times

then leave a voicemail

and then keep calling non stop until 

someone finally answers their call

like seriously?

i sometimes wonder if they dont realize

that i can see how many times they have called

its a little invention called

caller id.... connected to your inbox

and do they think i wont call them back?

and then if they end up talking 

to someone else in the office 

and i dont know 

so i will return their voicemail

they get all mad for bothering them

people.

It was a sad sad day when i had to do this
they punched my beloved colorado licence
and i had to convert to be a uterrrr

i guess i really couldve kept my colorado
and just renewed it there
but i forgot to when i was there

i also hate how close in they zoom
when they fricken take your picture
like seriously
zoom out a little
no one looks good that zoomed in
oh well  i guess

but i really need to wear my glasses
it is was bad news

however i didnt want to get a glasses restriction on my licence
so i planned on not wearing them

i walked up to the eye test thing
and looked down the hole
i started reading off the letters
"12, 21, 32"
the lady was like
'uh there are no numbers in there...'

ha luckily i figured it out
but its bad news
i really need to wear them
more than just for school

Well life has been pretttyyy crazy
just busy
and exhausting
thats why i havent blogged more

today we bought eggs for the very first time ever.
the both of us.
we just arent big egg eaters so oh well i guess

in other new
last weekend with my mom and sister was very nice
we shopped our hearts out
and went to park city
passing by this ^ water fall on the way there
kinda pretty

i wish i had more exciting things to say

ive been wanting to buy a new zune for years now
but they kinda dont make them anymore
it is sad
there are rumors that they will be releasing one more though
so we will see

bobby and i have been together for three years!
its so crazy!
and we both completely forgot
its like once you get married you just forget about everything else
best three years ever :)

teaching is going well
i really love it
i cant wait until i am done with school
and can be a real teacher
that is if i can get a job

i guess the bakery has fought to keep me
lets hope someone else will

well i will get back to cooking

i used to be so anti junior high

but after this week and learning more

i am seriously considering it

first off

the government just redid the standards

and now all of the state have the same standards

"common core"

and when they created this

they up-ed all the requirements

so now upper 8th grade 

is pretty much doing what

i was as a senior

we had a teacher who came in

and just talked all about 

middle school 

and how the kids are such a good balance

so i will just have to see

and decide for myself

but i start in my classroom tuesday

high school first

its an alternative hs

so itll be different

small classes

a lot of diversity

i think it will be a good experience

and i am so exited

and really not to nervous either 

and my mom and sister will be her in t minus 3 hours

more than an english teacher

today was the first day of my teaching classes

i loved it

it is finally what i am going to school to be

but its funny

because i feel more tired than when

i was working 5am -5pm

maybe it is just cause work was crazy

i have a four hour class called 'teaching exploration'

while byu's program may be more hard than needed

i really like the approach thus far

today we just really focused and talked

about how being a teacher was more than 

just teaching students to write

english teachers have a unique role

that the skills they are teaching lend directly

to life and the real world 

and one of the most important things these days

about being a teacher is teaching

things beyond the general subjects

because anyone can learn those skills from a book

so really i have to learn more than

just how to teach a poem

and i think thats pretty cool

and its exactly what i want

and what i want to do with my life

so the four hour class wasnt bad

next week we are placed in classrooms

and actually teach already!

i am so excited

like cant wait

lets just hope that the professors feel it is right

because they said they would talk you 

out of the program if 

it was wrong for you

and look at what a cool 

and official name badge i get!

Pizza night got moved to Saturday this week

and i made pizza at home

thanks to bobbys mom donna/ his dad

we had mexican pizza!

not quite like taco bell

but still good

just take a pizza crust

layer with refried beans

green chiles

cheese

other mexican toppings

bake for suggested time

top with salsa and sour cream

delicious.

While my time at the bakery is coming to an end 

because school is starting

i am glad i got to experience this

we knew this order was coming

but my boss/the owners daughter

said that these cookies were not boobs

and that an LDS bakery would never do that

she assumed they were simply "B's"

well today this is what was baked 

and this is what the order form said

while the cookies are obviously more or less realistic

we were laughing so hard

because someone ordered actually ordered boob cookies

lets hope its for a bachelor party or something

and not some weirdo haha

more luck than last time.

this last weekend we went to colorado

for one last hoorah before school

and to see Bobbys parents of course

and most importantly!

we had a really good time

and it was so good to spend time with bobbys parents

i wish we were closer and could see them more often

they live in fort collins and i have to say

i really like it there

it feels alot like durango except less tourist

maybe one day we will move there

i would  like that a lot

we drove through wyoming because it is 2 hours faster

and it was so strange to finally see clouds

stupid utah

but we had much better luck this trip

last trip we had quite the run

first we were pulled over for going 82 in a 75

bobby was hand cuffed

our car was searched

and then we got a 120 speeding ticket

and then we got a 60 ticket for supposedly tailgating...

oh and cops can go 50 mph in the left lane in WY

and its tailgating when you cant 

even read the bumper stickers

and then we got our car towed at 

the concert we went to.....

at least the concert was good...

but we got this fun pan that is changing my mind about pancakes though

the fancy name for it is ebelskivers

but as seen on tv and bobby likes to refer to it as pancake puffs

it really is so fun

and i like it alot

and even better bobby gets his pancake fix

but so i cant sleep in anymore thanks to the bakery 

so guess what! i wasnt lazy 

and cooked!

i dont know why i havent wanted to cook for the last week

because i have wanted to for the last two months

actually i do know why i havent cooked

eeeeee so excited

but i got up and made bobby pancakes

he was delighted

but if you like pancakes

you should get one of these pans

you can buy a fancy one for like 40

or the as seen on tv for 20

and on a side not today me and bobby went on a walk up to the park

we passed the senior citizen center

and on the billboard it said

"senior swim party"

......what in the world

that just sounds bad

'modge' podge

i have had these letters for a while now

it has been my plan the entire time to recover them

so they could look cute on my bookshelf

i think they are okay 

i might re do them again

but it was just the wooden letters i found at the DI/thrift store

and then i put fun paper on them

so bobby and i went michaels and we each picked out a paper for our letter

it was funny because after they were done 

bobby asked why his had flowers on it 

he picked it out

its not my fault he doesnt like to shop and look around haha

so that is why his has flowers

and then when we went to walmart to get supplies

i stated that i needed 'modge podge'

of course bobby is a boy 

and said wtf is 'modge podge'

and then he asked how do you even spell that

and i told him t-h-a-t... jk bad joke

well he brought me to a sad realization that it is 'mod podge'

so now im with bobby and ask 

what is the world does 'mod podge' mean haha

so i promise i wasnt lazy again

okay maybe a little bit 

maybe a lot

but we really have deemed friday night pizza night

you see bobby would eat pizza for every meal 

so its easy and he loves it

we went to pizza pie cafe because they were having a facebook special

the place is a buffet of every kind of pizza, pasta and salad bar 

they have dessert pizza too

it really is sooo good

and the pizza isnt bad at all 

and the best thing was that we got the fb special and $4 coupon 

so it only cost us $7 instead of 14!

and it was delicious

and bobby was happy

win win

oh and i didnt have to cook ha

i grew up eating nachos like this

and me and bobby are mexican food junkies

so we have nachos for dinner a couple of times now

because i am lazy and they delicious

so guess which nachos are whose haha

and then one that are just melted with cheese and beans and stuff mixed together are his

so i havent felt like cooking at all this week

cooked monday but it sucked and bobby didnt like it

and so tonight i decided that j dawgs sounded much better than what i planned

conviently enough

j dawgs is right on the way home

its so good

but only the real deal there 

knock off j dawgs isnt very good

neither is just the sauce with lame dawgs

and eating there makes my mom so jealous

i just watched a video about jdawgs 

it was pretty heart warming

so good new

bobby got a new job paying rather well

i think ive jumped from surprise 

like three time at least because the thunder is so loud

but yay for actual moisture in this desert

it was so funny 

because everyone was struggling so badly

even the counselor on the stand was cracking up 

because it was so horrible

and its funny because whenever bobby hears bad singing

he just sings right along worse making fun of them
